ABOUT ME
"The Bahamian Kid"
I am not just a regular 12th grader. I am a determined individual who accomplishes whatever I put my mind to.
I was born and raised on a farm in Nassau, Bahamas. It's easy to say that I am a combination of a city, island and
farm boy.I don't deny anything about myself, in fact I embrace it. I enjoy spending time with friends when I go out,
climbing trees and going to the beach. My friends know me as the "athletic one" or "the weird one" and honestly
I accept both because it's very true. In my life I have played 8 sports total, but currently I play 3 competitively.
I am passionate about 2 which are soccer and basketball, both of which I've been playing for 6 years now.
The amount of persons in this world that live in poverty and risk dying of starvation is unbelievable
and can be decreased through small steps. I will always remember my morals and ethics teacher for engraving
the serenity prayer in our minds. “Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage
to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” We make a difference in this world, through
small but meaningful steps. I want to change what I can because I believe once one person struggles, everyone
struggles. I want to start my own charitable fund to provide resources for the less fortunate; through scholarships,
home building projects or providing food services. I want to give persons hope; because hope is sometimes the only
motivation someone needs to change the world.
