About Me
My name is Shania, and I am in my final year of high school here at Aquinas College. Because I have a strong interest in acquiring new skills and broadening my knowledge base, one of my goals for the future is to acquire a degree in nursing. I have always been curious about the inner workings of the human body, and I think that nursing is the ideal profession for me to pursue because it will allow me to combine both of these passions. In addition to the success I've had in the classroom, I'm also involved in the local community. Giving back to the community and lending a helping hand is rewarding for me, and I like to think that my life experiences have made me a more compassionate person. In general, I am pleased with the person I have developed into, and I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead.
Career Path
After high School I want to further my education and go to college to study nursing. My desire to become a nurse stems from my desire to support our community's expanding population. I love this profession because it represents the kind of person I want to be: a leader, a mentor, an adult who is respected, and someone who can be relied on. I haven't always thought of nursing as my dream job. I learned a lot throughout the numerous school breaks I spent at the hospital. I would see how nicely the nurses treated the patients and how comfortable they were. Grey's Anatomy is one of my favorite shows, and I've seen a lot of documentaries on cancer patients, which has further strengthened my desire to become a nurse. I would like to achieve my DNP in nursing at the University of the Bahamas . Even though I'm going to do everything in my power to reach my goal, having a backup plan is always a good idea. Additionally, I would consider attending college and majoring in banking and finance. In conclusion, I want to succeed in my field and be of service to people everywhere.
