The great philosopher, Aristotle once said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a
habit.” We see these words everyday plastered all over the walls of our school. To make excellence a habit, we are
encouraged to soar in all of our endeavours.
From the very moment that we set foot on the grounds of Aquinas College, we had expectations to meet. We have all
come so far, we have transformed from budding individuals to experienced young men and women. I admire the strength
and growth of all of my classmates. I am glad to have been able to embark on such a journey with them all.
Through the many arguments and tears we have always found a way to laugh. The difficulties and trials that we have
faced throughout our tenure were all a part of the growing process. The tears that were shed surely shed some light
on certain situations. The arguments that were had amongst us gave us the wisdom to know that we cannot change every
situation. The growing pains that we endured only made us better individuals.
The class of 2020, the most resilient class that Aquinas College has ever seen, had a difficult senior year with a
rough start and an even rougher finish. We might not have had the traditional senior year but we had a great one.
We can truthfully say that we have had an unforgettable senior year. I hope that my classmates agree with me when
I say that this simply means that our future is gleaming brightly. We must move forward knowing that God is within
us all and that we cannot fail.
