ABOUT ME

MY FUTURE WILL BE BRIGHT AS LONG AS I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT!

Student,Athlete,Son,Christian,Leader

My journey has been a quest to fulfill happiness, a search for knowledge and a yearning for a successful future. In today’s world, education is a vital tool in building a comfortable and prosperous life. Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” This is an impactful quote to me because it communicates how precious education is and how it can changes what’s to come. Most children acquire similar physical features like the same shaped head from a parent, but I've inherited much more; a passion for learning and an insatiable hunger for knowledge. My mother, currently an accountant, has been my inspiration. She achieved her degree while paying home loan with two youngsters in tuition based schools on a government employee's pay. This positive influence has powered my energy for learning and undying determination to make her proud. I relish the opportunity to complete my education and gain a wealth of knowledge that can help me in becoming a civil engineer. In every era from ancient times to modern times, engineers played a strong role in the development of society; they build many structures that identify that culture and time period. Engineers create something out of an idea; they fill a need and fulfill a dream such as a skyscraper that no one thought would ever be possible. “Scientists investigate that which already is; engineers create that which has never been” (Albert Einstein). This is one of the many reasons I would like to pursue a career in civil engineering.
